Friday 19 July Old Telegraph Track, Gunshot Creek, Palm Creek, Moreton Telegraph Station

The journey continues.

This was the easiest creek crossing so far. Someone put a bridge here.

Back on Track.

Sheldon Lagoon

The start of the Gunshot Track. More creek crossings & the infamous Gunshot ahead.

Photo opportunities!

Bit of a lean on the bumpy track.

Standing on the side of the car, all we can see is green....

And rain coming.

We were never tackling Gunshot - not silly & there was someone stuck. Oops it's on video, will insert later but......

We did this at Palm Creek. It was like a mini Gunshot & going south bound it was like a slippery slide.

And after several attempts (all on video), Graham in his Nissan recovery car (Toyota Landcruiser) had to pull us out.

Thank goodness Anne warned us to put up the windows.

Thanks Graham, it was a long way around if we didn't make it.

This just gives a. Idea of the corrugated roads. Look at the straight aerial.

It will be a full moon soon.

The longest day on the road so far. 7hrs but worth it. Got to Moreton Telegraph Station by 5pm.

And set up camp away from the crowd.

A few drinks & steak sandwich & we all crashed by 8.30pm.

Great day!
